Mediumize is partnering with 4OurCommunity, among other organizations, to provide relief to Midland, Michigan. All items donated will be sterilized, then given to a distributors in Midland whom will provide the items directly to afflicted families.
The Blessing Bags Project is an initiative which originated in Troy, Michigan, the following description comes from their webiste:
There are millions of people that find themselves homeless and without access to important day-to-day items. As a result, homeless shelters serve the purpose of providing the homeless with these supplies. However, homeless shelters are finding it much harder to provide homeless people with these basic materials as a result of the pandemic causing them to be very scarce. Therefore, my goal with the Blessing Bag Project is to collect toiletries such as toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, wet wipes, as well as nonperishable food such as chips, beans, and granola bars. Other items that could also be extremely helpful are clothing (even if used), socks, gloves, hats, bleach, and masks. If you have these items, you can simply leave them on your front porch and one of our volunteers will come pick them up and create the blessing bags.
